The integration of the various components of social security prominently the provident fund, ESI and provision of gratuity for fixed term employees even for service lengths less than five years would require a relook in comparison with the lesser expense in the case of contract labour. The important issue of compliance would be the unification of the accounts of PF and ESI in the backend data, as a result it shall not be possible to escape the liability.
